The South Atlantic S 500 or S 600 are servo-driven – meaning they employ a servo rudder to drive the auxiliary rudder.
Instead of lines to the boat’s wheel/tiller to drive the main rudder, there are connected to the unit’s auxiliary rudder. The servo-auxiliary systems are directly steering the boat with their auxiliary rudders.
